"A misunderstanding....right, whatever David," Josie took another sip of her drink. David thought Evan was going crazy, there was no denying that, but she could respect the fact that he was being a good friend.
Josie would be lying if she said she didn't expect David to pull away. A little part of her had hoped that maybe he'd kiss her and maybe he would've had she had more time to work her magic. But she had to do it in front of Lexie and just the right time to crush the girl's heart. That wicked smirk on Josie's face didn't falter and David's bewildered expression. She gave a little shrug,
"Does a girl have to have a reason to kiss a cute guy? But I do have to be going, see you around David," she put down the rest of her cash, he had done his part well, he deserved a tip. She was about to turn and leave but then remembered something and leaned in, "Oh and David, I did mention to Evan about our little tryst last year, he found it very interesting, I'd be nice to him or who knows where that information could end up?" She gave him another wicked smirk and turned and walked away from the bar.
Josie locked eyes with Lexie on the way out. "Oh, hey Lex, fancy seeing you here," she said feigning surprise. She quickly brushed past her but before she was out of Lexie's eyes sight she turned back to David and blew him a kiss and a wink before she left the bar, her task complete.
