Katie hummed a little tune to herself as she fiddled about her locker. It was the end of the day and it was good to be done. The week was almost halfway over, though it was very clear from the amount of homework she had that it wasn't over yet. She sat her backpack on the ground and removed books and placed them back at will. She couldn't remember what ones she needed for homework. It was most likely all of them, a thought that really didn't please her. Course, she could probably convince James to carry her bag home, seeing as he never brought books home, anyways
She sighed and zipped her bag, lifting it with a groan (it was heavy!) and tossing it over her back. She even needed to clip the little strap for extra support! "Oh my goodness," she mused to herself, reaching behind her to shut her locker door. Her hand went right through the metal.
"Hmm," she mumbled, turning to look at the locker, thinking she missed the door for the first time all year. "Weird." Though, she thought to herself, not any more weird than her talking to herself. She reached forward once again, this time paying attention, and slammed the locker shut. Then, Katie turned on her heels, fully intending to march off and find her brother. However, something was in her way. Or rather, someone.
"Oh shit." Katie never swore. It was definitely something she was picking up from James, darn him. "I'm sorry. Are you okay?" She looked at the person she bumped into. It was Desmond Johnson.
