Who: Macy and Lexie
What: A best friend/roommate conversation
Where: Lexie and Macy's apartment
When: Thursday night
Rating: Probably low
Status: Incomplete
"Hey Mace!" Lexie called cheerfully as she opened the door to their apartment. "I'm home!" Since she'd seen Macy's car in the driveway, she knew that her friend couldn't be too far away. She turned to hang up her keys on the little rack beside the door and neatly hung up her jacket on the coat rack before closing the door behind to keep out the early autumn chill. Their apartment was cozy – not so small that it felt stifling, but not so big that it was intimidating in its spaciousness. In Lexie’s mind, it was just right, especially because she was sharing it with her best friend. Living with Macy had been wonderful; she was reminded every day of the games of house they’d played as they were kids. Of course, their games had rarely included chores or paying rent, but Lexie thought that this was better. After all, their childhood games hadn’t involved an adorable little kitten either.
“Hey kitty-kit,” Lexie crooned as the tiny, yawning feline made its way sleepily down the stairs. He meowed adorably and the blonde approached a few steps to pick him up, snuggling him gently and scratching his tiny ears. “You know, we really should give him a proper name,” Lexie said, smiling at Macy as she followed the cat down the stairs. “That can be our project for tonight. That and figuring out details for this housewarming party that everyone now knows that we’re having.”
