Luke hadn't bothered to RSVP. He probably should've, all things considered, but he hadn't really gotten around to it and, well, it wasn't like Nadine was going to keep him out. And besides, even if she did decide to be difficult for some reason, he could just go home. It wasn't like he'd have very far to walk.
Stepping through the gate, Luke found Nadi rather quickly and offered her a quick smile. "Hey you," he greeted her cheerily. "Having a last hurrah before the summer's out, huh? An excellent idea. I like your style, Nadi." It was kind of nice, talking to her again. Not that they hadn't been not talking, necessarily - it was still common for them to exchange a few neighborly pleasantries, but they were nowhere near as close as they had been. And that was a little sad, honestly. Luke wasn't quite sure what had happened with that, but maybe it was time that they started working on that.
