"Well...I kind of didn't ask permission," Emily blushed, "I just wanted something I could focus all my love and affection on. But once Bethany saw her she fell in love and my dad...well...he doesn't really care what I do if it doesn't disrupt his work." She tilted her head to the side, "They hate animals, but how could you hate animals? I mean, who could hate that little face." Emily stroked Irulan's head again.
Emily followed Jacen and sat down next to him slightly smiling as he shot question after question at her. Now he had told her that mostly people got annoyed when he did that, but she actually found it adorable. She laughed, "Okay, one second and I'll answer everything you want to know. Yes, I got a list of everything she'd need and bought it all, also a few extras. I'm going to spoil her, I know. She sleeps in my room on this lambs wool mat I got her. Once she gets bigger she'll probably sleep with me, she's just too little right now. I don't want her to jump off in the middle of the night and hurt herself. She's eight weeks old. They had just been put up for sale when I bought her. So she's still just a baby. But she loves everyone and she lets me love her." Without really thinking about it Emily leaned her head on Jacen's shoulder and looked down at Irulan in his arms and gently stroked her head.
