Who: Jac and Daniel What: Exploring the various ways of entertaining yourself in town Where: Around town, but in the park right now When: Monday evening Rated: TBD, but probably PG-13 (for cursing, at least on Jac's part)
It was a chilly night, but pretty much anything was better than staying home all day and night. God forbid, Jac thought, with an uncharacteristic frown. She wasn't even up to her usual energetic standards. Her parents had been sniping at each other, as usual, and had hardly acknowledged her announcement that she was going out. Well, except for a shouted 'Be careful!' from her father as the door closed. As if there was anything to be careful of in Frye's Island.
The park was close to her house, and that seemed like a good place to start. She shook off the dark mood, for the most part at least, and went inside. It wasn't often that she started hanging out in the park during the evening, when it was pretty much abandoned, but it wasn't unheard of either. Sometimes - shocking as it was to most people - she didn't actually want to call her friends over to hang out with her. She preferred to entertain herself at times like these.
Of course, 'times like these' didn't really last long, because ultimately she was a social creature and wanted people surrounding her. So for now, she climbed on top of a swing and started pushed herself, but in fifteen minutes she was bound to get bored and call someone. Or, she thought, she could just head down to the cafe or the entertainment store - people she knew usually hung out there, it was a good bet for finding someone.
