She felt the spray of the sea against her pale face, now frozen in what was sure to be a flabbergasted expression of epic proportions. Questions raced through her dazed little head at warp speed. How? What? When? Why? Instead, Poppy settled on just staying silent, vaguely listening to Alex's begging, while she attempted to grasp the situation. She couldn't blame this on alcohol, or some hallucinogenic drug. No, what she'd witnessed was for real, unequivocally authentic.
