Who: Lexie and David
When: Tuesday afternoon, after this
Where: David's apartment
What: A very important talk
Rating: Medium-ish?
Status: Incomplete
Lexie was scared. Genuinely scared. For once, the pounding heart, sweaty palms, and all the other crazy symptoms she got around David weren't just a result of her lovesickness - this time the anxiety was greater, the stakes higher. How could she have been so stupid as to forget to privatize such an important, personal entry? And what awful, ridiculous luck that David, the very last person in the world she wanted to see it, had read it. God. He must think she was so stupid. As if he didn't think that already from how she'd acted at the party.
It would be so easy for him to tell her that he never wanted to see her again, and that she should stop using the journaling system since she was clearly so bad at it. God. If both he and Annie had seen that entry before she'd adjusted the settings, who knows who else had seen it too? With mistakes like that, who needed Songbird?
Lexie hesitated for a long time before she finally knocked on David's door, keeping her eyes averted for a few seconds before it opened. Of course, as soon as she looked at him (it was inevitable, really) she was hit with the familiar desire to kiss him. Despite all of the drama and craziness that had followed that night, she was still attracted to him, and now more than ever. She fought back the urge, though, and stepped into his house with a murmured, "Hi David. I'm here." She also managed to bite back an "I'm sorry." It was almost all she wanted to say to him at this point, but by now she knew David well enough to know that, unlike her, he didn't handle apologies very well. Besides, Lexie had a feeling he wouldn't forgive her anyway.
