David wished he hadn't said anything, but now he couldn't really take it back. Lexie hadn't been a charity case. They were friends, and some crazy stuff had gone down, and now they weren't friends at all. It was probably for the best, since he was trying to keep her away from him. Keep her from getting hurt.
