Who: Calvin and Emily When: Sunday afternoon Where: Twisty Treats What: Letting the sugar melt away the sadness Rating: Low Status: In Progress
The rain had only stopped for a few hours the next day before starting again. Emily still wasn't very happy about the whole Evan situation, he had said he wanted to talk, but she wasn't really sure if she was ready to talk to him yet. However, staying in that big lonely house with no one but her father's wife of the month, who currently was out doing whatever it was that she did, was not high on her list of options. She currently was staring out of the window at the rain pouring down. She let out a little sigh. She hated feeling this way, but it seemed that nothing could help, not her poetry, not a random senior talking to her, and with the weather like this camping was out of the question.
She pushed herself away from the window as she got an idea. Emily had been told or had read someplace that chocolate and sugar always made people feel better. So with that thought in her mind she grabbed her rain coat and made her way to Twisty Treats, the local ice cream parlor.
After the somewhat long walk there she shrugged out of her raincoat and stared at the menu trying to decide what to order. 'What has the most chocolate and sugar in it, what will help the most?' After much debate she decided to order a hot fudge sundae. With her ice cream in hand she took a seat at a booth and began her treatment.
