Who: James and Penny What: Party! :] When: Sunday night Where: James' house Rating: TBD
James, of course, had ignored any warning that Penny would not want a party. He was convinced that people who said they didn't want a party always wanted one deep down. A party was a recognition that you had friends who cared enough about you to celebrate with you. James was pretty sure Penny liked most of the people who said they were showing up, maybe minus Josie who apparently she and Annie had gotten into some kind of tiff with. What was so wrong about eating hypoallergenic cupcakes with a bunch of friends for a few hours?
When a knock came at his door that evening, he moved to answer it with a grin. "Penny, hey!" Instead of letting her in he stepped out, looping his arm through hers as if it were the most natural gesture in the world, and they'd done it dozens of times. "We're going to the back yard."
