Perhaps they should start falling asleep, soon. :/
Vivian's boyfriends, had admittedly shown themselves to be a little on the dark side, but Viv had always been quick to leave once they got too close for comfort. Whether or not Calvin knew, she had remained quite the virgin through her seventeen years.
It was hard not to look at him when he had her chin in his palm, gently forcing her face into his direction. "Nothing is wrong," her voice wavered slightly, and her blush didn't subside. "Just thinking about how much I love you, I guess?" Vivian suddenly felt a little nauseous. Why did Calvin make her so nervous, constantly? Her mind was going to a place that really shouldn't have even been near the forefront of her mind. Not… THOSE things, but something a lot less physical. She knew her voice had betrayed her sudden anxiety; she would just have to hope he didn’t freak out and think she was going to fall over and die, or something. But those feelings were NOT normal. Not for her brother. Never… But as they were, she felt that she had sort of always known. God damnit – this would only complicate things…
“That’s good,” she said quietly. She looked at Calvin as if he had lost his mind. “Are you really asking if I would mind you staying with me? Like, I assume I didn’t hear you right, or something… right?” She started when Calvin circled her in and pulled him up to his chest. It was not his usual embrace, but it was nice. There, she could lay her head and listen to his heart beat – it was always a good way to determine a person’s reaction to anything just by listening to their heart… This was getting ridiculous. She couldn’t let her mind stray, not now. She gripped him in a tight hug, keeping it for a few seconds. It was the kind that would always leave him breathless for a moment after, but she wanted him to know that SHE was here. That she always would be. “I’m sorry,” she told him, suddenly. She herself didn’t really expect it, but there it was. Out there - free.
