[Sorry! I didn't get a notif so I didn't see you responded T_T]
Calvin smiled softly. "At least I'm somebody's." He hesitated when she inevitably brought up the party. Of course she'd asked. He knew she would. And turning down two of his favorite people in the same night... it made his insides twist a little. "I don't know, Viv..." he said uncertainly. "You know me. I don't like parties. I would be really out of place. Besides, I'd just keep you down. You should go and have fun." He tugged her a little closer, making sure she was comfortable. Poor Viv. It was so awful that she couldn't sleep.
Of course, Vivian wasn't the only Parker in the house who was having trouble sleeping. Ever since his powers began to kick in, his sleep patterns had never really been the same. At least he was getting more than his sister, but sometimes he really wished that he wouldn't - the nightmares only seemed to get worse and worse. They weren't always visions, but given that Calvin's brain had been put into panic mode so many times as a result of his sleeping, regular nightmares were pretty common nowadays, too. The nightmares were always better, though - they may have been scarier, but at least Calvin could be pretty sure that he wouldn't be chased by supernatural things in the future.
Calvin shivered. "Oh God, Viv... that sounds so terrible. Is there anything I can do? Maybe you shouldn't go to the party tonight. Maybe you should just get some rest." He was pretty sure that this wouldn't really work - he knew Vivian loved parties, and she really hadn't been out much recently, so it wouldn't be fair to deprive her of some fun. Still, if fun was depriving her of sleep...
