"Oh, my lovely Calvin - don't be silly! You are MY knight!" Vivian saw the confliction flicker in her beloved's eyes, she knew there was something most definitely playing angel and devil with him - toying with his thoughts. Best to distract him, yes? Unknowingly, she would be hitting the mark, not avoiding it as she had planned. "So, I don't have a date to Luke's party - will you be joining me? It would be nice, yes? We haven't gone out together in a long while..."
She paused at his question. She knew she was being unfair - she was always so hesitant to talk about them. Haha... or could she even call them dreams? They were always so disjointed, as if her body was trying to wake her up, but her dreams were trying to pull her back to them - trying to make her pay attention. It was beginning to remind her of Calvin's visions... Was this how they had begun? She's never asked him - perhaps she should... maybe this was why he was so overly concerned? But then that could just be Calvin's beautiful self. The thought made her smile. She settled closer to Calvin, his arm comforted her, and she ran her fingers through his hair, twirling it, slightly. She knew she had to tell him, but it would be difficult...
"Cal, forgive me if this isn't the most eloquent thing that I have ever said... But, you know your visions? It keeps reminding me of that. Every time that I fall asleep, it's as if there's this little war going on inside. My dreams are never longer than a few minutes, I'd say, but whenever they go back it's the same one - not every single night, but most definitely the same dream. There's always this horrible screaming and then sometimes, I'll see you standing there, in the center of everything. It's honestly like I'm being pulled in two different directions." She looked down at him, nervous to see his reaction. "I feel like I should have told you before, but I just feel like I need to get a grasp on this. It is just driving me mad. I try to run it out, but..." She trailed off. She knew that Calvin would most likely understand.
"You're so sweet," She giggled a little. "I prefer you to wake me, though - your presence is definitely much more comforting than my silly dreams. More than anything, actually." She wasn't lying when she said this, and she knew that no matter what - he would always be there, just as she would always be there for him.
