Unsurprisingly, Calvin had no intention of going to the party. He was pretty sure that Katie was going to go, and he felt a little strange that he was wasn't going with her, but he reasoned that they didn't necessarily have to do everything as a couple. Besides, the partying scene was more Katie's thing than it was his, and he trusted her. Katie wouldn't do anything stupid, right? She was just as responsible as he was, after all.
If Calvin had known that his sister was finally sleeping, he wouldn't have knocked on her door. He didn't know quite how bad it had been with her recently, but he certainly knew that she was having some trouble getting to sleep at night, at least if the dark circles under her eyes were any indication. Makeup could only do so much to hide them, and Calvin always looked carefully at his sister to see them. Calvin knocked softly on Vivian's door.
