Luke smirked, surprised that Mao hadn't made some stupid jab in response but had actually gone with what he said. It was definitely sarcastic, but at least it was a start. "Well... maybe not in the street. That would be kinda awkward and uncomfortable. But girls have been known to throw themselves at me." He grinned charmingly. "I'm just that attractive. And charming. And..." his grin widened a little, "satisfying." Hee. Bragging was fun.
Luke shook his head at Mao's offer. "Nope. I don't want to deal with all the steam that would result from all my hotness hitting the water." The water may have been shallow, but it would still be fucking cold and honestly he wasn't really sure if he wouldn't panic while he was in it. He pushed his jaw out when Mao asked his stupid drowning question. "Fuck no. I'm not answering that. You're just going to pretend you're drowning so I'll come in the water. Uh-uh Mao. Don't even joke about that. Almost drowning is fucking scary okay?" He didn't really mean for his tone to adopt the hard edge that it did, but he couldn't really help it. Almost drowning was fucking scary.
