"Oh I don't know. Pretty lame, I guess. But I'm sure you could redeem yourself as a ninja assassin. You might have to get rid of that whole fire-juggling kick boxing thing, though. You'd draw way too much attention to yourself and blow your cover. Obviously."
Luke shook his head. "Maybe." He didn't sound convinced. "I guess if they put chips in us to track us they could easily put chips in us to activate us for war or whatever. But that doesn't seem to make much sense either, since wouldn't they want to like, train us to use our powers instead of just leaving us to figure it out on our own? Wouldn't it make more sense to lock you in a room and force you to watch, like, military training videos all day? I don't know, man. Whatever's going on, it's some weird, dangerous shit. And I don't like it. Not one bit." He bit into his cone, nibbling at the edges.
"Huh. I guess that's something, but if he was all weird an vague are you sure he really knew? Maybe he's just crazy. Calvin Parker isn't exactly known for his normalcy." Still, if the kid really could see the future... if he really had seen something awful...
