It troubled Emily that Jacen wasn't even talking to Calvin. She hoped that Josie could possibly get to him, he couldn't shut her out...could he. I mean they have that twin bond, right? At Calvin's advice to take it slow she smiled, "I will, don't worry Cal. Also being his friend is all I'm trying to do currently. That's why this is tearing me up. I'd feel the same if you were in a rut and pushing me away. It's not just because I have those feelings for him." she blushed a little at his offer to hint at things, "Well I feel really embarrassed about you helping me with my love life, but...I'd actually love if you could do that. Also I can give him time, all the time he needs. All you and I can hope for is that Josie is as stubborn as Evan says she is. She'll get Jacen out of his room...one way or another."
Emily noticed Calvin's pained expression and out of what she supposed was a mothering instinct started running her fingers through his hair while massaging his scalp. She nodded in understanding to his concerned and realized that both their abilities were painful. Hers were just a bit bigger than Calvin's. She couldn't imagine being able to see horrible things coming and not knowing if interfering would help or not. "Well I'm glad that you haven't seen anything involving me yet. Are your visions always bad, do you ever ones of good or happy things?"
