Evan had gotten the text and promptly replied that he'd be right there. However, he wasn't a fast walker, and 'right there' ended up turning into twenty minutes. But, he knew Max couldn't say anything to him and therefore felt no need to apologize when he finally strolled into the diner and sat down. He motioned to the waitress for a coffee before looking at his friend and grinning.
"Hi. I'm Evan, nice to meet you. Where've you been? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!" He knew that his moving was taking up the majority of his free time. Between that and work, he hardly had the time to see his friends. It was really starting to get to him. But, him moving was a good thing, and it would ultimately lead to a party anyways.
