Geri gave her a different look (more like an 'oh, brother' than a 'bitch, please') this time when Josie flashed the money in her face, then just shook her head. She snatched the shirt out of Josie's hand and walked back to where she got it. She mindlessly, yet skillfully folded the shirt and handed Josie her actual size. No doubt it would look just as good on her thin frame as it did just being folded up on the table. She was always slightly jealous of that. Clothes just seemed to look better on Josie than they did on herself.
"Here's your super extra small," she quoted just as whiny as Josie had said it. She then realized that she had been humming a song, which reminded her... "So, are you coming to my thing tomorrow?" She didn't think she'd have to be any more specific than that. It was all she could think or talk about the previous week. Her performance at Frye's Leap Cafe was a big deal by her standards. A small step in the right direction. Now she would just have to wait and see who would show up.
