He couldn't see her smile, but he could definitely sense it in her voice, so he couldn't help but smile back. He squeezed her a little and tilted his head close to her ear, his breath tickling at it a little as he spoke in a half-whisper, so as not to overpower her too much with sound. "Any time Katie. You're always welcome. You know that, right?" He kissed her ear gently and tried not to think about what would happen to him if they weren't "good as gold." The main problem, Calvin had surmised, was going to be what happened in the morning, when James inevitably realized that Katie was missing. Hopefully he'd just sleep later than they would, though, so maybe it would all be all right. Hopefully. Calvin really didn't feel like having his testes ripped off this trip (or really... ever).
