Who: Natalie and OPEN What: Natalie hears a little too much Where: Frye's Leap Cafe and Bar When: 9pm Rating: TBD
Natalie was tired, but you wouldn't have known it from looking at her. She'd put on extra concealer to hide those bags under her eyes, and she looked perky as ever as she made her way through the tables, smile stuck in place as she took the patrons orders. There was always someone who absolutely could not make up his mind, who kept asking over and over again for more time despite the fact that everyone at the table and Natalie herself knew he was just going to order the hamburger, but Natalie's smile never faltered, even as she disappeared from the table for the third time and moved to another pair of men.
"What can I get you gentlemen today?" she asked.
You can get down on your knees, sweet thing. God knows my wife won't anymore.
Natalie's eyes bulged as she stared, horrified, at the man who was now looking at her strangely.
The hell's the matter with her? Why's she looking at me like that?
The man's lips weren't moving, but his voice was practically shouting in her head. "I think you guys need some more time. I'll go get some waters." She blurted quickly, before making a break for it, fumbling to stuff her pad back into her apron, only to smash right in to someone else. "SHIT!" Realizing her curse, she quickly corrected, "Shoot. Sorry. Sorry, are you okay?"
