Casey snorted, "Yeah, you can't keep kittens a secret. They might look cute, but they create quite a smell and they're actually really demanding. Need a lot of attention and love." She shrugged as the kittens in the crate actually managed to look up at her like she'd just offended them. She lifted an eyebrow and looked down into the crate. "Don't look at me like that, you know it's true."
At the surprising turn in the conversation, Casey just lifted her shoulders again. "Nothing interesting," she admitted, "Same old, same old. What about you? I'm sure your life's far more interesting than mine."
