"They do, actually, but not as much as puppies. Cats are very selective when they talk and who they talk to," Casey said with a smile. She loved that she could 'joke' about it with Calvin still, it was great that he hadn't grown out of it. At least she could tell someone, even if it was under the guise of an old in-joke. "And they make the most sense out of all the animals. Cats are smart."
Reaching out, Casey squeezed Calvin's arm before she returned her attention to the kitten that was nibbling on her ear again. "Hey, cut that out," she muttered, the kitten miowed again. 'I'm sorry mommy...' "Don't worry about it, there's the weekend when you can come and give the kittens all the love you want," Casey offered reassuringly, "And yeah, they've got me. I spend more time here than's probably healthy."
