"Yes well, maybe I'm just an extraordinarily slow learner," Lexie responded lightly. Obvious lie. Sure, Lexie wasn't the best at, say, the physics lab she had half-done in her backpack, but she picked things up pretty fast, particularly when there was music involved. "But alright. Mashed potatoes it is." Lexie flicked her wrists, quickly ridding her first potato of its skin and placing it aside to cut up later.
"I'm sorry about that, dad," Lexie apologized sincerely. "It's just with work and this summer class I don't really to see anyone much. Anyway, life's been pretty... slow I guess." It was half true, at least. She could hardly count her weird healing ability as a "slow" thing in her life, especially since it seemed to be developing so rapidly. "You know, the usual. Work. Class. Hanging out with friends. I haven't really seen much of Macy, though. I think we're on pretty different schedules for the summer."
