Who: Natalie Blackwell and OPEN What: Catching Nat in the midst of participating in her super secret hobby? When: Sunday afternoon Where: La Bouquinèrie Rating: TBD
While she was a generally social person, Nat still appreciated the occasional day set aside for alone time. It meant she could do things she wouldn't necessarily feel comfortable doing in a group--book shopping, for example. Her interest in history wasn't something she had told many people about, since it made her feel weird. Geeky. So, when she was hanging out with others, she just pretended that interest didn't exist and pushed aside any urges she might have had to indulge in that particular hobby.
But she was indulging in it today. She had gone to the bookstore and picked out three nice little paperbacks from the historical fiction section, which she was now curled up with in the café portion of La Bouquinèrie. She had planned to grab a few things from the boutique as well afterwards, but if she wanted to have enough money for that she was going to have to decide which one of those books she wouldn't mind putting back and buying at a later date. And what better way to choose than to read through a bit of all three of them?
Of course, she had a tendency to get really wrapped up in her reading, but...what were the chances of someone she knew bumping into her right then and there and discovering that she was a closet history dork? They couldn't be too high. She would be fine.
