The girl had an okay voice, but wasn't even trying to project so as to be heard throughout the auditorium. She noted that the girl's enunciation was off, making the Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sweetest Sounds" appear like it was being sung in a foreign language. She sighed to herself but felt a bit more confident as the teacher detailed the process. While this was Saya's first go at acting, she was one of the teacher's favorites in music class for her persistence at learning proper vocal techniques.
Both Saya and the teacher's heads snapped to the aisle in front of them, not expecting Tommy to intercede. When he gestured for her to follow, she sucked on her bottom lip and looked over at the teacher in askance.
"Go ahead. We'll send someone up for you when it's your turn," the teacher assured Saya before returning to the adviser waiting in the pit. She turned and followed Tommy out of the auditorium, picking up her steps until she was walking beside him. "Thanks, by the way." She said after walking through the hallway in silence. "Who are you auditioning for?"
