"Mostly, it's what we say to keep people from panicking," Tommy said from over his shoulder still. He was keeping his eyes on the girl who was singing on stage and acting. The girl was average but nothing to write home about. Of course, this was a girl in middle school acting out the role and not a Broadway star but Tommy was judgmental about things like this.
When the other girl left the stage, Tommy turned to see who it was that he had been talking to and being completely rude to. He recognized Saya immediately and was as surprised as the director that she had come to the try outs. He didn't think she was one to be interested in acting but at least she'd be a nice show on the stage.
"Choir room," Tommy answered the girl, before the director could say anything. There were likely a few others in there as well but Tommy stood up and motioned for Saya to come with him. He could help her get the room cleared at least. The other kids in the productions respected him and liked him. "Come on."
