He was probably right. And deep down, she was almost positive that she was failing because she really didn't care. But she'd never admit it. It'd be like admitting defeat. Plus, she didn't understand a lot of the concepts being taught, so it was also a little embarrassing. Not caring was just easier.
"Don't worry, I can pick that shit up later," she said, sarcastically, rolling her eyes. She sat up and pulled her legs to sit 'Indian-style'. At his comment about his eyes hurting, she laughed. "You should get some glasses like the rest of your nerd kindred. You'd fit right in."
