Josie smiled wider when JJ snorted at the idea of having kids someday. She could relate, when she was his age she thought she was sure that she never wanted kids, funny how things can change. She raised her eye brow when he mentioned getting married before having kids. She didn't really mind the idea, sure being married before having kids would be ideal and she hoped that JJ chose to go in that order.
"I know you may think that now, you just haven't met her yet," 'or him' she mentally added...couldn't count anything out. JJ never really displayed much interest in girls or boys so she wasn't sure which one peaked his fancy. As long as he was happy she didn't care. "Trust me sweetie when I was your age I thought the same thing. But then I met..." her voice broke slightly. She took a deep breath and steeled her resolve, "Then I met...Alan...and everything changed. I wanted to get married and have kids...sure I wasn't thinking I'd have a kid so early, but...I wouldn't trade him for the world. He's the one good thing I've done...he's my little miracle."
Then a nurse came in saying she needed to fill out the birth certificate. The father line she purposely left blank. Ward was not his father. He was hers just hers. Ward was not going to be acknowledged as his father. Then she got to the name. She looked over at JJ, "Any suggestions?" Part of her wanted to name her after Alan but she wasn't going to curse her son with a name like Alan Allen.
