Noah didn't hate the girl. He didn't even know her name. And contrary to his outward expressions, perhaps, he generally didn't feel strongly one way or another about anyone. He was just disinterested, past the point of apathy. (There were exceptions, naturally, but not many. - And the girl wasn't one of them.) Sure, he felt annoyed by her. But that was it.
