Abby nodded and shrugged. Her dad was a cop, sure, but it wasn't like he had complete control over her. Plus, it wasn't like he could have shot at Carter and done any damage with the bullets. "He didn't know until I was coming back. It's not like he could have done anything but threaten you. Plus, it's not like I was really that interested in boys. He was praying thank G-d that I wasn't a lesbian or something."
Her eyes grew big when Carter mentioned going to Cons together. "Imagine if we went and I dressed up as Darth and I stole someone's telekinesis! I could be a real life Darth! Except it's not quite the force. But it sure is close to it!" Abby thought for a minute. What would Carter dress up as? "...maybe you could be one of my imperial guards? And I can shoot at you or something and you can go all superhero on me and stop the bullets. That sounds pretty cool, right?" One of her eyebrows quirked when Carter mentioned piggyback rides around the city. "I'm small but you'd probably collapse after getting out of the door with me on your back. I'd prefer scenes like... dancing in the middle of the street. Or smooshing ice cream in your face. Or... or the beach one! That was cute too!!"
Abby crossed her hands over her chest and made it look like she was offended. "I can be a crazy psycho girl, if you want. Cause, you know, you totally omitted me from that dream so what's that saying about your priorities of which girls are hottest." She tried to keep a straight face but started lauging a few seconds after, showing she was only teasing about the dream. "Who says I'm your girlfriend now, by the way?"
"Radcliffe is ugly and short. I like my guys on the taller end - haven't you noticed? And what's this nasty business you speak of? Have you come up with some kinky fantasies that I don't know about or something?" Abby winked at Carter.
She paused for a minute and looked at Carter, slightly confused. Had he forgotten so soon that she was only a year younger than he was? "I'm at Princeton, working on my masters degree. ...you're not still in school, right?"
