Narrative: Val and random NPC!Dinner date have their dinner interrupted, when Val gets a phone call. DUN DUN DUN. This is set the evening of August 6th.
"Crap."
Her dinner partner looked up from where he sat, his fork hovering over his plate. His eyes locked on her for a second, before glancing down to the plate that was in front of her. He put his fork down, and cleared his throat before speaking; "I don't think the chef would appreciate your assessment of the meal."
Val gave the figure seated across from her a condescending look, and began to rummage in her purse. It was a small purse, as befitting the evenings some what fancy dress status. Fingers find her cell phone, she pulled it out with a flourish, and spoke quietly and quickly into it. Etiquette that said it was bad form to answer a cell phone at a dinner table be dammed, she had a potential situation on her hand.
“Cooper.” She frowned, than looked up at the person she was dinning with. “I need to take this ...”
"Work. I know."
Standing, she stood up and moved away from the table speaking quietly into her cellphone as she went. “What do you mean it's gone? The thing was powered down .... an artifact. A museum piece .... and now it's gone. Fan-fucking-tastic.”
