Not everything gets into the profiles or onto the cast page---or even in the other memes! This is another example of Kait going "I want to do THIS!" and telling me to post something. For this one, tell us your secrets, your miscellaneous information, your childhood stories, things that you know about your character that haven't come up in character---or even trivia that has but hasn't been expanded yet. This sort of thing works especially well for new or under-utilized characters that you feel like you know or like a lot but haven't seen a lot of in-game action yet, for whatever reasons.

Kait was like "Do another meme! I have some characters I don't know well enough to do the last one for yet, I want more shit to fill out!" And lo, I, being the benevolent dictator that I am, shared the wealth of my brain for yet another meme. This time, we're talking hardcore superhero story elements: parents.
1. Describe the relationship your character's parents have with each other.
2. What is your character's relationship with their mother?
3. With their father?
4. How has your character's relationship(s) with their parent(s) affected how they treat others, in general and in their own romantic or intimate relationships?

SO. The recent influx of AWESOME in this community has prompted this post. I know there was a meme a while ago about character inspiration, but we've added and changed ourselves around since then, so it's about time for another one. This one can be as short or as long as you want, and it comes with two questions:
1. Who or what inspired your character? Did they fill a niche, did you watch a movie you liked or see something in real life? Did you just want the PB? All of the above, none of the above?
2. What's the angle you use when writing your character? It could be a category, a stereotype, one specific in-character trait that everything else builds off of, or ... you know, whatever. It's your character, so it's your angle!

I feel like introducing new people in the comm. Ta da. I'll do his app soon for reference.
This is Sean Rourke-Cassidy. His mom is Theresa Rourke-Cassidy, and clearly his dad wasn't in the picture since he's got her last name. I'm a little thrown as to who his dad might be other than Some Dude, because her main love interests that I know of (Jamie Madrox and Deadpool) both have kids in game (Ashe, ideas? :D).
He's a chef for Stark Industries. He caters the parties, he makes the food for all the bigwigs at the company. All kinds of stuff like that. So he makes food. His powers involve healing, but the drawback is that whatever he heals, he takes the pain onto himself. So... bad injuries? Fuck that, you deal with that, or it'll kill him.
The X-Babies would know him! He's sweet, he's a little silly, he's sincere. Actually, if you remember Misha "Quebec" RIce from Safe as Houses, uh... he's kind of like her. Which is not intentional, but the more I was writing about him, the more I realized that that's a little what he's like. But just a little. Because he's not a transsexual. :)

Uh, hi.
This is Oscar.
Remember Oscar, from ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) safeashouses? I decided to bring him back.
So this is Oscar. I'm still working out his details, but so far, they're this: 1) Whether or not it's true, Oscar believes that Tony Stark is his real father. 2) As a result, he believes that he's the heir to Stark Industries and everything that goes with it. 3) Over the last few years, he's been the arch nemesis / general annoyance of Iron Man (Magnus Stark), in a battle to kill him and take over. 4) He can be pretty dangerous, but he's mostly full of fail. Unlike the other supervillains in this game, he doesn't make a habit of killing anyone. He's a tame, old-school supervillain who wants to destroy Magnus Stark. And Mariah Stark, but mostly Magnus. 5) Like his Dollhouse predecessor, he is a coward and a pathological liar.
The fact that he strongly resembles Dr. Horrible in appearance has to do with the fact that, um, NPH has icons as a supervillain with a death ray and supervillain goggles, and that's too good to pass up. Really.

So, on the eve of the posting of the Great Who's Fucking Who Chart (which I am currently making in photoshop), here's a meme for anyone who wants to participate. Seeing as we're all apparently obsessed with sex and character relationships here, there's no point in doing it if we can't make fun of it every once in a while. (Inspired largely by conversations Kait and I have in the car at work.)
These are Part One of a series of memes meant to give us all a little boost and get us to think about a bit more deeply about our characters---also for funsies. I know a few of us have complained about not knowing some of our characters well enough to want to play them more often (and by "a few of us" ... I sort of mean me and Kait, this has been the subject of many a discussion at work for the past week or two), and having some of this stuff written down so we can go and look back and get our brains moving again helps sometimes. All these little survey posts will be tagged, and you can go back and post in them at ANY time. God knows I will.

HEY GUYS? Heh. We have a lot of new people in here right now and while that's awesome, I don't know who's doing what.
Can I get a roll call for Excalibur? I've got to keep up a list. XD I think I know the Avengers, b/c that group is smaller, but there are a LOT of Excalibur people and I'm not sure who's there anymore. We'll have to put the teams up on the mod journal soon or something. :D

Okay, so, I realize now that I kind of backed Aubrey into a corner where he doesn't get to know anyone. That was bad. WHOOPS. So, I'm revising him. He's only done one log, so... I can do that!
I said before that Aubrey was Sage's kid and was adopted when he was five, raised away from everyone else. NOPE. He's Sage's kid, and Tessa adopted the name Rose Ryan for herself just so Aubrey could have some kind of legal identity. He grew up around the x-kids, but wasn't HORRIBLY involved with the tighter groups.
Aaaalso, he's the dispatcher/hacker for the Avengers, codename Optic. And yes, he still says they're corporate tools. That first post of his might have to be retconned slightly but whatever. :) Shhh. Shh.
