thread - Benjy and Jimmy
Who: Jimmy Langowski and Benjy Parker (supertiny cameo by Magnar Maximoff) What: Jimmy and Benjy get to test out Jimmy's handiwork Where: Xavier Hall, study lounge When: Saturday morning
It took a lot to annoy Jimmy, but this had done it. His workshop, for the moment, was unusable. And he had work to do. Projects that needed finished. His room had been his backup plan, imagine his reaction when he found that he wouldn't be allowed use of that even for at least a few days, maybe longer. And he'd just promised Benjy he'd be done with his hearing aid by the weekend. What to do?
So he improvised. Anyone wanting to use the small study lounge in Xavier Hall would find the doorway blocked by yellow CAUTION tape and a note reading that the room was closed due to water damage. Jimmy cleared the tables of what had been on them, moving his own things in there. He created enough workspace on one table where he could hopefully finish the hearing aid and have Benjy test it. The other table was housing other blueprints for the moment, as he was hoping once the device was fixed he could go back to putting together the robotic exoskeleton that he'd drawn up plans for and had been constructing.
The workspace being ready and the hearing device being ready for tested, Jimmy headed for the room that Benjy was in temporarily. Stopping in front of it, he frowned to himself, wondering if Benjy would be able to hear the knock on the door. Just to be sure, he pounded at the door, loudly and emphatically. The door opened almost right away, an annoyed looking blond standing there, scowling at him.
"What", the blond said, glaring at Jimmy. Jimmy had a puzzled look until he remembered that there were probably four people in this room just like the one he was staying in. "Looking for Benjy", Jimmy replied. Jimmy heard some muttered comment about nerds as the irritated looking boy moved back into the room, leaving the door open just a crack, and Jimmy could hear a loud shout for 'SpiderFreak'. Geez, poor Benjy having to put up with that. A moment later, the door began to open again.
