Captain Rogers was a patient man. Sitting in silence in his unmarked squad car parked not far from his target -- The Hellfire Club-- as he watched the masses line up to be admitted entrance. All night, really, he could wait. It wasn't quite time, yet, for him and his Sentinels to break up the party. The guest of honor hadn't arrived. According to his intelligence on the inside, Sebastian Shaw was still nowhere to be seen. That's who Rogers was after, after all. Sure if he could collar a few peddlers and scumbags in pursuit, well, then it'd be a good night, too. But Shaw? Shaw was as filthy as they came, circulating drugs, guns, women, and corruption all through the streets. Whatever "deal" he had struck up with the mayor was unbeknown to Rogers and didn't much matter, to be honest. Transparency was key and not making deals in seedy bars over cocaine and whores.
"There," he said lowly, finally breaking his silence to the two boys in blue (currently adorned in riot gear.) "That has to be Shaw," he said, indicating a sleek black limo that just rolled up. The bouncer opened the door and a man dressed to the nines, complete with be-feathered fedora, stepped out, two leggy blondes at his side.
He wanted Shaw to get cozy, make sure he wasn't going to leave ago. So after another forty-five minutes of waiting, Rogers signaled the rest of the squad over the radio, speaking in code and telling them to take their mark. Shit was going down.
