Thread: Hellfire Club Halloween Event Characters: Sebastian Shaw, Tessa Papusza and OTA HFC + Their Dates NPCs: The Mayor (Norman Osborn????) and random party-goers. Location: The Hellfire Club, M-Town, NYC. Timeline: Halloween night: Sunday, October 31, 1975. Description: TBD Rating: R?
The day had been spent preparing the club for the nights festivities. They had ads in all of the news paper: </i>If there was one party to attend this Halloween it was at the Hellfire Club. Be there or be square. You don't want to miss this spectacular spectacula masquerade event. Costumes and masks required.</i>
For his part, Sebastian spent the day lazing around, lounging in the arms of his favorite dancer/call girl while the actual grunt work was dealt with by those better built for manual labor. Ahh ... such was the life for club-owner playboy and man about town, Sebastian Shaw. The reality, though, was that he was planning, calculating, just how he wanted this evening to go. It was important evening as he had planned on entertaining the Mayor, showing him a good time, and discussing the finer points of this registration law. If all went well, then he hoped to skirt the issue and be granted leniency for him and his kind; in the name of good business, of course. The mayor in turn would get a kick back, a small percentage of profits plus a good percent of the mutant vote when it came time to re-election. Shaw would see to it.
"I don't want to be disturbed," he said to Tessa, after going over the plan with her. He was sitting with her now, in the VIP area of the club, sipping a whiskey sour and smoking a cigarette.
“Of course not,” she replied, not even turning to look at him. Like Shaw she was staring out over the ropes at the crowd beyond, the stage beyond them. The club was packed especially tight for the Halloween show, the costumes worn by the crowd even more ludicrous and outrageous than the regular club fashion. Every face was masked, at least most of the time, it had a Carnival feel to the room.
Everyone who worked at the club was on tonight, extra dancers, extra bartenders, extra bus boys. Everybody. The only reason Tessa was not up on stage with the other dancers was that she pulled special duty. The mayor was visiting tonight, but a guest like that rated special attention. He would be attended to in one of the private function rooms, partaking in the decadence of the club without having to deal with the unwashed masses. Who knew what they would get up to on a night like this.
