Characters: Logan "Wolverine", Misty / Mitch "Mystique" Holmes NPCs: FoH punks Location: Sam's Laundromat Time: February 16, 11:30 PM Description: The Brotherhood goes to the laundry to do some cleaning up. Rating: PG-13 / R for expected language, violence
There was something dirty going on at the laundromat. Mystique made a point to visit the local businesses who often forgot to pay protection money. She did so at least weekly, always in disguise. This past week, she'd been interested to overhear a conversation between a small group of guys loitering inside, not even appearing to do any laundry. One of them knew the owner somehow, and he and his punk friends were keeping a presence in the laundromat now. Not that loiterers were a concern, but the fact that they were at the very least sympathetic to the Friends of Humanity, if not members themselves, that was a huge concern. One that needed taken care of right away.
Mystique wanted to handle this personally. She'd gotten the okay from Erik and had convinced Logan to come along. It hadn't taken much convincing, really. For the occasion, Mystique had assumed her common male form, who she referred to as 'Mitch'. This had been the same form she'd used while scoping out the laundromat earlier in the week. She'd arranged to meet Logan in the liquor store across the street.
While Mitch waited, he bought a six-pack of Logan's favorite beer. He'd popped one open and nursed it while observing the laundromat across the street. The hour was late, but there were about five guys inside. No, make that six. Another walked down the sidewalk and just entered. From what Mitch could see, it was obvious they all knew each other. The shapeshifter was starting to feel impatient, ready to go over there and start something, when a familiar form could be seen walking down the sidewalk toward the liquor store. Mitch popped a beer off of the ringed six-pack, tossing it to Logan once he'd entered. "Here. Looks like we got a crowd over there." Mitch wasn't concerned about discussing this with Logan with the liquor store worker behind the counter not too far off from them. The employee knew better, knew not to ask questions and to keep his mouth shut.
