Training sessions are held in the basement of the living quarters. All tributes must attend and comply with training rules, which are laid out by the Head Trainer, Atala, at the start of the first day (8:00am). The main rule is that tributes are not to fight one another. Individual trainers are on hand for single combat sessions and demonstrations, dressed in protective suits. Every station has six trainers available to work through the material at their given station, though if they wish to receive instruction at the same time, a trainer will teach up to two students at once. Lunch is held from 12:00-1:00, buffet style, with four large tables that can accommodate up to ten people each. After lunch training resumes until 5:00pm. Tributes may not remove any items from the Training Center, or enter the Training Center after hours. How a tribute spends their time in the Training Center is entirely up to them, though they will be advised at the start of training that at the end of the fourth day they will all be required to participate in an obstacle course/gauntlet type event, which will be timed and scored. The fifth day is comprised of private training sessions which the Gamemakers will monitor. Both of these will be factored into determining a training score for each Tribute, announced on television on the fifth day.
