Nintendo DS: The Future Comes into View.
I would have posted this in nintendods but as you are aware, it's no more. I probably won't get a DS unless Zelda is released, they I would be obligated to buy one.
Nintendo Goes Online
Just before we went to press, Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata announced the first details regarding the company's plans to take the DS online. Nintendo will partner with GameSpy to create a wireless will be simple to set up and will provide a seamless experience for users. The service is designed for play around the world, and will be free of charge (though you will need access to a wireless hotspot). According to Iwata, developers currently working on short-range wireless games should be able to easily expand many of their projects to include wireless Internet play. GameSpy will deliver software developers some time before E3.
On of the first online-enabled games will be Animal Crossing. Gone are the days of carting your Memory Card to a friend's house-the DS will let you visit other villages across the globe wirelessly.
