Harry had done a fairly good job of forgetting about Sirius' room until Friday. It wasn't hard, with the amount of work they'd had in classes this week. He was so glad the Stealth and Tracking module was almost over- he'd had to bring home work nearly every day that week, something he hadn't missed from his Hogwarts days. He was getting better at it, though, so the extra practice definitely helped. He had gotten pretty ace at disguise charms, too, and was again glad that Huwei had told him to get rid of his glasses, because disguising them would be harder- some nonsense about transfiguration being bad for corrective lenses.
But now it was Friday and he was home, studying a little in front of the mirror in the sitting room his disguise charms. He'd made sure to put some drinks in the icebox for them before getting to work, as that was generally their arrangement- she brought food, he provided drinks.
He was still having a hard time with his eyes- the color was so stubborn. It was such a weird experience, staring at himself but seeing a different face in the mirror- he could still see parts of himself peeking out of it, so it was different than his experience with Polyjuice, but strange to see curly brown hair and pale eyebrows framing his mother's eyes. He waggled his eyebrows at himself and gave himself red hair, just to see what it was like. Scrunching his nose, he decided against it, and mumbled an incantation for a sandy blond like Seamus'. He made his cheekbones look fuller, too, and the effect was a jolly one.
"Bugger," he said aloud when he realized he'd only gotten one cheekbone to change for more than a second. Doing both at once was tricky but easier than trying to get them symmetrical.
He heard the floo activate, and snickered to himself as he decided to leave his face unrecognizable for when Hermione found him. He hoped she didn't hex him thinking he was a home invader.
