Hermione frowned slightly. "I don't ... think it was the Imperius curse," she said quietly. "They got the amulet out. I don't think you could have done that, even under the curse. It doesn't quite work that way," she said gently.
But if she'd been obliviated ... "There's not ... you don't have any ... marks on you, do you?" She wasn't exactly sure how to ask her daughter if there was evidence of violation. She recalled too well the poor Malfoy girl and what had happened to her.
Still, she held her daughter close. It was a horrible thing she'd gone through, worse that she didn't remember it. Perhaps it wasn't quite the ordeal Hermione was imagining, but either way, having ones memory tampered with was never, ever a fun prospect.
