If there was one thing she had gotten over during her time as an auror, it was the sensation of missing a raid. Once upon a time she would have been disappointed to be the one who had stayed back at the office, but now not being out was a luxury, and it was a luxury that aurors (especially new ones) got to experience less then frequently. And besides, it gave her the chance to spend all of her time catching up on this paperwork. Alastor was threatening her with suspension if she didn't get at least some of the back log of her work done. She sighed softly, but managed to jump when she heard Michael's voice behind her.
Truthfully, she was glad to be called 'Bridge'. While it wasn't far enough from her name to forget who her family was entirely, it was enough and said in a different tone that she knew she wasn't being insulted for having the job that it seemed like less and less people wanted. A little smile was made over her shoulder before she saw him and how he looked. Well, at least he didn't look like they had lost anyone tonight. A good deal of the younger aurors believed that if you went out with Michael, you had a better chance of coming back. She was one of them, well depending on her mood.
“Damn, Bossman, you look like hell.” She put her socks back on the floor and she moved close to him, tucking her wand behind her ear as she did so. Careful fingers moved towards his cheek, but then she stopped. “Anyway, I can't go home. Moody would probably flay me alive if I didn't do my paperwork again. Do you think anyone would notice if it just happened to fall into a bottomless bin on fire?” She grinned, a wide swatch before she spoke again. "I suppose I'd have to do yours too, and we can call it an epidemic." She tilted her head a bit before she looked back to the cut. "Want me to fix it?"
