Once they were in the foyer, and then out the front door, Sirius sighed with relief. His body very nearly shook with the relief of it all, but he kept it together and focused on helping Remus and walking. He was just glad his father hadn't come out of his room to investigate...it was embarrassing enough for Remus to know the horror that was his mother, and her torture chamber, and his whiny, snot-nosed brother. He didn't need to see the true crazy in the family.
