This may be the last time any of you see me. I have done the unthinkable: I have tampered with Star-Lord's iPod. That's right, I went and took all the crap out of it. No more Limp Bizkit. No more Duran Duran. No more Poison. Jesus Christ no more Paula Abdul or Steve Miller Band. Left in the good shit, like Bowie, Queen, etc. Decided to add some good shit of my own, meaning that when Dad goes to do whatever the fuck he does in his spare time (besides my mom), he's gonna be greeted with the dulcet tones of Onslaught, Kreator, and Pig Destroyer. I REGRET NOTHING. |

I have so much more than most girls my age: a loving family, some amazing friends, a successful career, and more money than I know what to do with half the time. And yet... I'm sitting here in my room feeling utterly, hopelessly depressed. I know depression isn't something you can control, but I still feel... I dunno, like how dare I, you know? |

I am in the best mood today! Went for a walk in the nice cool air, stopped by The Sugar Shack for a shooter (or two), had lunch with Mom and Dad, and now I'm at home, wrapped in a big comfy blanket with a couple of books. Perrrrrfect! |

Hey everyone... how'd Christmas go for you? Had a great day with my Moms and Aunt Juno, had my best pal and her parents over for dinner, and just talked and laughed and wore ugly sweaters. Private to Andi McQuade Thanks for coming over for Christmas dinner. My mom is like, in love with you. If I get one more speech about how me and you would make such a great couple... lol Anyway, I had a great time. And your mom actually didn't scare the shit out of mine, so bonus. |

I feel like this post should be titled, "The Next Exciting Chapter of 'How Am I Related To These People?'" Christmas at The Martin Family Home (or as Rachelle calls it, "The International House of Estrogen") has come and gone again. And like a tornado or some other terrible storm, it has left much destruction in it's wake. Neely is in a food coma impressive in it's totality. I would best liken it to a bear hibernating. Morgan is in Cleaning Nazi mode, muttering to herself about how she lives with animals as she tries to undo some of the devastation. Rachelle is laying atop our pool table, still dressed in the clothes she had on yesterday, nursing a hangover so bad I've heard her call for "sweet sweet death" to claim her at least three times. Meanwhile, Auntie Tess is helping Morgan clean while continually apologizing for whatever the hell "the karaoke incident" last night was (I don't know. I don't want to know) while Auntie Gin shakes her head in clear amazement that she even associates with these people. My sister Aubrey and my sister-in-law Aurora brought the slight bit of normal available to the event, and I had a really nice time catching with them. Of course, no family event is complete without my BFF Jennifer doing something inappropriate, and as usual, she did not disappoint: in this case, she made a point of purposely bending over during Uncle Ben and Aunt Skylar's brief visit, before giving them both the 'call me' gesture. Sigh. And this stuff was just the most notable moments. I swear to you, the drug-fueled Hollywood parties from the 1970s and 1980s that I've heard about could only aspire to some of this. |
