Nana did her best to give him a smile. "Nice to meet you," she said, but she couldn't really force herself. Not only was the idea of having such a thing interfering with her schooling kind of upsetting, but she was... Well? She was really scared of having to have a baby. She could never remember being around someone who was pregnant before, of course, because she was so young. And she'd never had a boyfriend before, either. Who was this young man she was supposed to marry, supposed to bed and have children with? Her stomach was doing flips. The uncertainty was frightening, and the things that were certain were not exactly pleasant.
"Um, yeah, I am," she said. "I'm a nursing student." She shifted uncomfortably. What were they even going to talk about? "What about you?"
