Sailor was nervous. At least he had been when the day had started out. By now, between the 'gentle' ribbing of his friends and his own consternation he was on the verge of a meltdown of epic proportions. Unlike normal people, perhaps, Sailor became more flippant the more stressed he became. He had been tossing off jokes that even he recognized as horrible all day long. He only hoped that he would be able to hold his tongue when he met with his wife. There was no need to make her think that she was marrying some nut.
