To be honest, Abigail had been kind of surprised when Lino had suggested the Reyone. She had only been there a handful of times for lunch meetings for the university, and it seemed kind of upscale. But despite her anger at being paired, Abby was anxious to please her future husband, and so she had agreed to the restaurant.
"It's lovely." Abby sat in her chair, impressed with Lino's extreme manners. She had noticed the slip, but attributed it to nerves. After all, he had to be just as nervous as she was. Now that they were both seated, Abigail had a chance to take a decent look at her future husband. He was handsome, though he looked young. She hadn't really thought much about whether he would be ugly or good-looking -- as long as he was a good person, she didn't really care too much about the looks.
"It's good to finally meet you," Abigail managed to blurt out. It was kind of nice; some of the mystery was gone. But there was much more to come.
