Eleanore actually flinched at the sudden sound of his laughter, phone still pressed to her ear as her head whipped around to stare at him. Her brows were high, eyes slightly wide as she wondered rather or not he had suffered some sort of mental break. Was this man really that desperate for this table? He sounded more like he was choking than laughing and she found herself debating whether or not she should call for help if he was. She continued to watch him for a second or two before deciding that it really was just a mental break and she went back to her conversation.
"Yes yes, I will be back in an hour. You have those files on my desk before I reach the elevators or you will be back to fetching coffee for two-bit pro-bono lawyers. Got it? Good." The cover of the phone slid closed with a barely audible click and she turned back to the man invading her space. "Are you finished? Or can you go and have your little nervous breakdown somewhere else?"
If he was crazy then it would explain why he was adamant about denying Eleanore her table. It would take a certain level of insanity to stand in her way. She was not used to being told 'no', very few people ever dared and the fact that this man did it without any thought bothered her to no end. Who was he anyway?
