Gil smiled and motioned for her to stay as he said his polite goodbyes over the cellphone. "Thanks, I swore I was going to go back for it," he said half-heartedly as he tucked his cellphone away in his pocket. He pushed the change over to her and reached for the spoon on his saucer. "Keep it, I'm in a good mood today."
He scrapped a spoonful of the whipped cream and shaved chocolate sprinkles and put it in his mouth, letting it dissolve on his tongue before removing it. It let him enjoy the chocolate by itself and allowed his drink to be the right temperature when he was ready to drink. With the spoon still on his tongue, he looked up over at Nana and spoke. "So, how's class?"
